Adames Hammers 28th Homer, Ray Gets 11th Win, ‘Pen Holds, Walker Redeems Himself With Save; Giants 5, DBacks 3

The Mets lost again and the Reds beat the Padres, too! The Giants have climbed to just two and a half back of the Mets for the second wild card.

In the NL West, the Giants stay six and a half back of the Bums, with seven head-tp-head games left to play.

It was 0.8% three weeks ago, 3% last week, 4.7% yesterday and now, ESPN says our chance to make the playoffs has increased to 7.7%.

This was a hard fought win.

Robnie Ray was good. He has yet to be beaten by his former team, the Diamondbacks. He had five Ks and only gave up three hits, two walks and two earned runs. The Giants defense played well behind him. Will Adames hit his 28th home run of the season. A Patrick Bailey homer provided insurance.

Ryan Walker, who blew the save two nights ago, redeemed himself getting the save despite alowing traffic.

Let’s Go Giants!
