4th in the NL West, Twelve Games Out, Four Games Out of Wildcard Range; 2025 is Another Lost Season as Giants Disappoint Again

The 2025 season is a wash. We ended exactly where we started, fourth in the division. We may not even end the season at or above .500.

We were good in a transitional year, but we were NEVER A COMPLETE TEAM.

The Giants this year were basically HALF A TEAM.

Two and a half starters, three reliable bats and a bullpen with no closer- that’s HALF A TEAM.

Verlander was terrible for months and often couldn’t catch a break or he would be a full third starter. He finally showed some command at the end of the season – way too little too late.

Willy Adames was a no-show at the plate for the first half, his bat only woke up after we traveled to Milwaukee and then he went on a little tear – way too little too late.

The bullpen was our strength. We had one of the best bullpens for much of the  season. But we never had a closer and it cost us. Camilo Doval and Ryan Walker blew saves left and right. Then we dismantled the ‘pen.

It’s the little things and the Giants were bad at a lot of them: hitting, base running, defense.

This was a lost season.

I expect much more Buster …

MUCH, MUCH MORE.

I want to be vying for a World Series Championship. I want to be consistently winning 90 games a year. And I want to …
