It’s back on the road for the G-men. To Washington, Detroit and Miami and then back home against the Pads and Braves.
The team shows flashes of brilliance, days where it looks like a strategy is forming, and days where they look very much like fourth best in the NL West.
Tonight they face a Nationals squad that is in a very similar position, with a slightly worse record.
The Nationals sit behind the Mets, Phillies and Braves in the NL East standings – tough crowd. We ended last year behind the Billionaire Bums, the Padres and the Snakes.
The Nationals are a team we should beat. I’d love a sweep.
Detroit, meanwhile, is rolling. At 33-18, they have the best record in all of baseball.
They’ve built on the powerful vibes of the squad that charged into the postseason last year and are playing winning baseball.
Miami is a team you can track like a fever. Though in the early part of the season he is 2 – 6, with a near eight ERA, Sandy Alcantara always gives the Giants trouble.
If we can go 5 – 4 on the road trip I will be content.
Let’s Go Giants!
