Robbie Ray Throws Seven Shutout Innings, Gives Up Just Two Hits, Chapman Homers; Giants 4, Rockies 0

This was an excellent Robbie Ray start. After losing yesterday’s opener to the lowly Rockies, the Giants came out looking like a well-oiled machine behind an ace starter, in-form.

Ray was exceptional. He gave up only two hits, had eight strikeouts and was in total command of the Rockies lineup.

Hayden Birdsong came in for the 8th and 9th innings and was unthreatened as he completed the shutout.

The Giants offense had seven hits, including RBIs by Sam Huff and LaMonte Wade, Jr. In the bottom of the order.

This was a much-needed complete victory.

Way to go Giants!
