Landon Roupp wasn’t good enough. Statistically it was his worst start, giving up seven hits and four earned runs. It was the three walks that were concerning, but if I am honest the umpiring in these two games was very poor. The zone was a joke.
But because Roupp didn’t go five innings for the second time, it is hard to quantify.
Spencer Bivens came in to try to get control. He allowed one, but managed to keep it in reach
Camilo Doval and Tyler Rogers both held clean, except for a questionable base on balls issued by Ty as per home plate umpire Phil Cuzzi.
Padres swept the brace, and look good, but they don’t look that much better than we do. We just had an ugly night.
Wilmer Flores 0-5, all strikeouts – that’s the golden sombrero.
A fan interference call in this one that was denied after review was frustrating. Everything about that was dumb. Big grinning dope in SF gear, happy to have a Padres homer, didn’t look remotely concerned or contrite about REACHING INTO THE FIELD OF PLAY. And was allowed to stay.
Aaaarrgghhhh.
Neighboring Padres fans congratulating this clown. Keep your hands out of the field of play!
And stadiums should absolutely kick fans out who reach into the field of play whether they interfere or not. PLEASE! This has been standing policy at our stadium for decades
Glad to have the boys come back home
Let’s go Giants!
