These Giants can hit.
Landon Roupp was uneven to start against a very good Philadelphia lineup.
Roupp walked the lead off batter Bryson Stott, then Trae Turner doubled to left and Stott scored. Roupp struck out Bryce Harper, but then gave up a walk to Kyle Schwarber and a double to Nick Castellanos that scored Turner.
Shaken, Landon gave up another base on balls, to J. T. Realmuto, and loaded them up. A fielder’s choice brought Schwarber home before Roupp could retire the Phils and the Giants were down three to nothing.
The San Francisco Giants then scored SIX runs in the top of the second. On the road. In Philly!
Wilmer Flores had an RBI. Tyler Fitzgerald and Willy Adames homered. It was great. Landon Roupp went down three runs and the Giants bats gave him six.

Roupp was fine after that, mowing em down with eight Ks, and allowing just one hit – a solo shot to Castellanos in the bottom of the 5th. BoMel left him out to close the inning after the homer, and the kid delivered, striking out Realmuto on his 101st pitch to end his afternoon up two, and in line for the win.
It was a hit parade in Philly. The Giants scored ten runs on twelve hits. The ‘pen, including Camilo Doval, had shutdown innings.
Yasztremski homered again In the top of the 7th and the Giants scored two more in the top of the 9th. Tyler Fitzgerald added a double and a triple – was just a single away from.the cycle.
Great win for Landon Roupp.
Starting to get excited about the hitting.
Willy Adames finally broke the seal on his prediction that he will hit 38 homers this year. Way to go Willy!
¡Trente-siete mas bomberos, por favor!
It’s a four game series in Philly but game three of The Gauntlet – the most consecutive games played stretch of the season – is a win, making us 2 – 1 out of these seventeen straight games.
Let’s go Giants! Keep it going!
