Robbie Ray Gets Third Win in Rain-Shortened Performance; Giants Blow Open Game in 1st, Win in Six; Giants 9, Yankees 1

Weather affected game from the get. But the Giants were resilient where the Yankees, simply were not.

It’s hard to say how anyone looked in a game played under a persistent light rain. But Robbie Ray was unflappable for four innings where Stroman couldn’t manage one.

The Giants bats preyed on Marcus Stroman, chasing him in the first. For the Yankees it was a game of attrition.

It was finally called in the top of the 6th. Giants had bases loaded and an eight run lead when they pulled the tarp.

Could’ve been 13 to 1 with a Wilmer Flores dinger, but alas they called it and he never got to swing with the RISP.

Robbie Ray had command. He was better than Stroman by a long shot and better than Yankees relievers, too.

Hope we play dry tomorrow. We already have the bullpen advantage.

A win’s a win.

This was Game One of The Gauntlet I – the longest consecutive games played stretch of the season.
