Sigh. Poor Camilo Doval.
I just don’t know what else to say. This kid has cost us so many games.
As I write this, it’s 0 – 0, in the top of the eighth, with one down and two RISP, after Doval walked two and advanced them on a sac bunt.
He has been pulled for Erik Miller, who just walked another batter to load the bases and … he just gave up an oppo double. Giants down 0 -2.
Sigh.
Miller got a strikeout for the second out and here comes Lou Trivino.
I LOVE BOMEL.
Even after a gut-punch, BoMel is calculating, making moves, working to mitigate.
Bases loaded, Giants down two. Trivino gets a fly out and then holds the top of the 9th.
Jung Hoo Lee got on with a two out single in the bottom of the ninth, then Hunter Greene walked Matt Chapman and had to be lifted. Shame. 104 pitches and an out away from a CG. Reds pitcher Hunter Greene was excellent in this pitchers duel.
Tito brought in Santillan to face Heliot Ramos with Lee and Chapman on.
Reds right fielder Jacob Hurtibies made a great catch to win the game for the Reds.
Camilo Doval is a cold mess.
