Craziest game.

Justin Verlander’s second start as a Giant was his second no-decision.
He was chased in the 3rd with the game tied, the bases loaded and nobody out.
It was a tight space Randy Rodriguez took command of, and escaped, to prevent JV getting the loss.
Rodriguez was great. he followed picking up Verlander with a three up, three down 4th.
Heliot Ramos and Jung Hoo Lee both had RBI singles in the bottom of the 4th, giving the Giants a two-run lead.
But Lou Trivino walked Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh, and gave up a homer to Jorge Polanco in the 5th, tying the game at five.
Poor Camilo Doval was on the mound in the 6th – feels like he can’t catch a break, this guy.
The Giants hadn’t yet made an error this season. Then the highest-paid player in Giants history, Willy Adames, missed a fielding play at short during the home opener behind Camilo, putting Raleigh on base.
Initially scored an error, it was reversed before the next pitch and called an infield hit.
On that very next pitch, Tyler Fitzgerald made a fielding error. So the first error of the season was charged to Tyler Fitzgerald, but may have really been Willy Adames ‘s.
In an inning where everybody sort of lost it, Raleigh stole third.
Doval gave up the run to Raleigh on an infield single to Polanco that trickled under Chapman’s glove. It was a mess.
Camilo looked frustrated as hell – as far as he was concerned, three errors behind him, on grounders, made that happen – the entire infield failed him.
But in the end, the first and only error of the year has been charged to Tyler Fitzgerald.
Chapman homered to redeem the infield, and Patrick Bailey had an RBI on a fielder’s choice in the bottom of the 6th to bail Doval out.
It was the offense that won this one. The Giants had 17 hits and employed small ball from the first, with plenty of walks and steals.
LaMonte Wade, Jr and Patrick Bailey were walloping the ball today.
Lots of action on the base paths gave the G-men 16 runners in scoring position. They plated three.
Bob Melvin threw everybody out there to get this one and everyone responded, ably.
They were ahead and we tied it. Then we were ahead and they tied it. Then we were ahead again, and they went ahead and then we tied it.
We went to letting a zombie runner into the game and they went ahead and we tied it.
The rollercoaster ride ended in the 11th after they went ahead, and in the bottom half we tied it and … Willy Adames hit the walk off single to win it.
Whew!
