The second pitch of last night’s game was low and inside, but called a strike.
The new pitch review system corrected it very quickly!
I like it.
(I was sitting beside a 75+ year-old baseball fan, and said, “outside … and low,” meaning outside the box, but it was technically “inside” because the batter’s a lefty.
Still, he corroborated, assuming I meant outside the box – despite favoring the Royals. He knew what I meant. We ended up having a great conversation throughout the game).
